Since the beginning at Florence & Marabel we have treasured all of the amazing relationships that we have formed with our customers! Having an online shopping platform means that we don't always 'do business' face to face and although we still love to create an experience when you shop online with us, it's nice for you to meet the faces behind our brand and see who is really wrapping your parcels and writing those personalised delivery notes!
Florence and Marabel is very much a family business, owned and operated by a mother and daughter duo, Donna & Alex - A.K.A us! And, in the spirit of getting to know us better we thought it would be fun to answer some questions for you all.

How did the idea of Florence & Marabel come to life?
The idea came from a trip to Florence, Italy, three years prior to opening the store. We have both always loved clothing and fashion, especially dressing up for events! It wasn’t until we both lived in the same town again that we decided we would love to work together and open up our own boutique bringing our favourite Australian & European fashion labels to Toowoomba. And that's how Florence and Marabel was born!
Who is your style icon?
Donna - Victoria Beckham for her simplicity and high-end style.
Alex - Sienna Miller for her vintage, polished boho style.
If you could describe your style in one phrase what would it be?
Donna - Classic Chic
Alex - Street, Minimalist, all black in Winter. Polished, Floaty Vintage in Summer.
What is your favourite brand stocked at Florence & Marabel when it comes to versatility?
Donna - Mela Purdie. It can be dressed up or dressed down, comfortable and is great for travelling.
Alex - Stevie May. You can throw a pair of sneakers on with it or easily dress it up for the races.
What are your top 3 must-have pieces for anyone’s wardrobe?
Donna - Black jeans, a good pair of sneakers and a blazer.
Alex - A denim jacket, RM Williams boots and any top with gold embellishment or lace detailing.
Can you describe Florence & Marabel in one sentence?
Florence & Marabel is a fashion store with a mix of high-end and everyday lifestyle clothing and accessories for the modern woman.
Which season is your favourite?
Donna - Winter. I’ve always loved winter fashion and rugging up with layers like woollen coats, scarves and boots.
Alex - Summer. Because balmy Summer nights with a floaty dress & wedges are the best kind.
